I got the latest Cruise Travel magazine in today's mail. Lots of eye candy for fans of older ships, and a surprise to me which goes to our never ending debates over extra fees. The magazine notes the old NCL Seaward ushered in extra-fee dining in 1988 with it's Palm Tree Restaurant which had a charge of $35 per person!

Fortunately, for NCL fans-that is one charge that has gone down instead of up. The current high fee is Teppanyaki dining on an NCL ship at $25/pp.
