We are totally addicted to repositioning cruises (and to cruising in general) and have spent more than 18 months of our lives on cruise ships (somebody has to do it). In the past year we have done three transatlantics and a repo from South America back to FL. This past December we did a repo on the Brilliance of the Seas that departed Barcelona on Dec 3. The weather was absolutely perfect the entire trip with calm seas and air temps generally in the 70s. On the other hand, in April 2007 we were on the Jewel of the Seas crossing from FL to Amsterdam and had awful weather with 3 days of 30 foot+ seas and a lot of rain (the big storm followed us all the way across the Atlantic). But, in April of 07 we did a tranatlantic on the Grand Princess that had pefect weather (seas never more than 6 feet and sun every day). The bottom line is that the Atlantic is totally unpredictable.
