In addition to my previous question:

If I were to bring my digital camera on my cruise, I was wondering should I also bring a laptop and/or a photo printer as well? I could use the laptop to edit and store my photos. I could use my Kodak photo printer to print-out photos for my crew members and fellow passengers. I wonder if it would be worth the extra expense and effort to do so. Will the cruiseline allow me onboard with those two items? Would the photo gallery crew mind that I am passing-out photos for free while they are charging up to $15 for theirs?

I would bring a laptop. A few years ago, we lost our camera. All of the pictures from the trip were lost as well. Now we download them each night.

As for the printer, I do not think anyone would mind. Be sure you bring a powerstrip, outlets are limited.

Sounds like a lot of trouble to me, unless you like lugging a bunch of stuff around with you. On vacation, do you really want to be bothered with all of that? How about buying some extra memory cards? Could just be me, but I much rather have room for bringing home souvineers and not hassle with too much luggage. Have a wonderful cruise!

The laptop is a great to bring along. The best part is logging on to cruise forums and chats sometimes (when you get a chance) and finding out who your neighbors are!

And if you really must print out those pictures after you take them, the on board photo processing can do prints from your digital camera memory card (at least I know Carnival's did) I could see the laptop, but lugging along the printer seems like a pain.

Does anyone know how much the cruiseship will charge to print your digital photos?

Locally, I have seen Walgreens, CVC, Rite-Aid, and other similar establishments charge the competitive rate of around 20 cents per 4x6 print. I would imagine that price would be higher onboard a cruiseship. But how much higher?

I agree with Grayson, just have the ship's photo shop download your photos onto a disc. I think we have enough stuff to cart around without laptops and printers. I just take extra memory cards. Also planning to take a wee extra camera along to use in port, in case it is lost or stolen.
