He is in the 4th grade and they were supposed to form a hypothesis and then try to support it. His hypothesis was that stablizers on ships keep people from getting seasick.
While on board we kept track of weather, wave height and whether or not the people in our party had to take bodine. We then did the poll online here and made charts etc. I took a great picture of the ship and blew it up to an 8 x 10 for the board. Because he did the project on board the principal counted the week out of school as excused.
Will have to come up with some other idea to get an excused absence next year. Kids don't know it but I have already scheduled a another week for next spring with them.(I prefer NOT being on there with 2000 other kids and to pick a less crowded kid week)
