HELP!! Rooms on Carnival Pride

Me and my husband are going on a cruise in March of 2004. We would really like to get a catagory 11 room. Although i noticed it is right by the elevator on the ship. being by the elevator doesnt bother me, except i was wondering. does anyone one know if I will hear it running in my room also will i hear the people getting on and off it all night?
