Me and my daughter will be on the Pride in November to the mexican riviera and I want to see if anyone has any ideas for some small gifts for our room attendant. I think it would be nice to sometimes leave a small gift for the person who cleans your room and makes sure you have what you need and I know it could be either male or female so I was just wondering if anyone out there did this if so what kind of small gifts did you leave?
Hi Lisette,
money makes the world go round... The room attendants, the waiters and all the personal have only a small place for personal things in their cruise cabins. The best you can do is to give her some dollars, maybe with a nice card with your thanks.
Regards
Uwe
Buying gifts for crew is always a much debated topic. Most say give them money, as that's what they want the most. Besides from not having much room in their cabin.
Phone cards is another idea that gets mentioned often. You just need to be sure it's a phone card that they can use.
I know on Princess the crew can purchase a special crew calling card that gets excellent minutes on it.
Some bring something specifically made from where they are from. Chocolates, wine, etc. or a tee-shirt.
Another idea is to wait & purchase something from one of the ports you'll visit. This gives you time to know your cabin steward & what they may like.
