My bill is miniscule because I bring my own with me...unless you include the $84 corkage fee. We're dangerously close to reopening the smuggling on board thread....

I think I learned my lesson on my December 26, 2006 cruise on Carnival out of Jacksonville. I don't think we made it out of the harbor yet when I passed out from too many sweet unbrella drinks. Never made it to dinner and pretty much mooned the cabin stewart when he came in to turn the bed down and I was already in it. My lesson was to not drink so many sweet unbrella drinks and stick to beer which I can drink all day long. I thnk my largest tab was during ny second cruise to Bermuda on the NCL Dreamward. We had a large group. We drank a lot (I was much younger then) It had to be up around $600 for the two of us. I know we didn't drink all of that as I am sure we took turns getting cocktail for the other member's in our group. (this was back in 1995 there abouts)

I recall one of my first cruises working for Princess; at the end of the week I actually owed them money because of my bar tab. Yes, everything you've heard about musicians is true--and them some!

My use of "spirits" is for a bit of relaxation, not to pass out. If someone wants to give over the controls of their life to some other entity that is their buisness.

Seems like a horrible waste of time, money and liver and brain cells. Call me a control freak but if I am going to make a fool of myself, I want to be wide awake.

In my younger days, consumption was up from where it is now....by about 500%. But after one particular night when I dragged my sorry *** out of someone's home, landed in the front yard and unable to move when the automatic sprinklers went on, I promised myself that wouldn't happen again. That next day, I felt so god-awful, it was a completely wasted day. Life is too short to waste days. You only get so many of them.
