Just Checking in to Let you Know Im still Thinking Bout your Family Dave.

We are now looking at a rehabilitation hospital for stage two of the recovery. She is still in ICU as of this moment but I was told today she is ready to leave as soon as we get a rehab plan finalized.

Right now my wife is bored to tears (even beyond those that come with wearing a halo).

She can sit in a special chair and stand for a few moments, but otherwise just lies there watching TV and the lovely scenery in her room.

Dave, I'm so happy to hear your wife is doing so much better, but sounds like she still has a lot of recuperating to do. And that boredom, and maybe some depression.. has set in! If she likes to read, maybe you could get her some books on audio to listen to. A person can only watch so much T.V.!! Hope this helps. Tell her how many are thinking of her and praying for her quick recovery! Take care!

Dave,

It is good news that Vanessa is ready to leave ICU. I'm sure that right now she is overwhelmed with the challenges that lie ahead. She has already made great strides and I am praying that God will continue to give her the determination and strength to continue to triumph over this adversity.

Take care of yourself, too. This has got to be an emotional roller coaster for you. You and your family are receiving lots of prayers and hugs from people you don't know but who are joined in heart by cruise chat.

Dave, you are thought of often by all of us as you can see. You have answered any questions I have had. You were the first one I contacted on this cruise chat. You're kind of like "cruise family". I will say a special prayer for your wife and your precious son.

Thank you. One of my goals when I joined the staff here was to further nurture the "cruise family" within this forum. The way everyone has rallied around me and my family makes me think I've succeeded!

Great news Dave. With all these heartfelt wishes, I know Vanessa will be up and about soon. Rehab will be tough, but with all of us behind y'all (even though it's just our thoughts and prayers), you'll be tougher. Best wishes and here's hoping she'll be back to cruising real soon!!
