hi penny3333, with the christmas cruise do they decorate the ship & for christmas lunch do they bring out the seafood with prawns, oysters + the works & do they have santa for the kids

if we enjoy it we will book another one for next year, our christmas here is normally very hot but we are going to noumea plus another couple of islands & i suppose there its going to be hotter

The Christmas cruises we've done they had the traditional turkey dinner, and I honestly can't remember what else was on the menu that night. The waiters are dressed with their elf hats on. We received some Panatone as gifts on our Costa cruise, and stockings with candy canes and candy on our Princess cruise. I didn't see Santa, although that doesn't mean they didn't have him on board. My hubby would probably wonder if I started sitting on Santa's knee now. I truly love Christmas on board, what a wonderful Christmas present! Happy Holidays!

I have never cruised on Christmas. Does the price of the cruise fare go up for the cruises on Christmas?; New Years?

How about tipping the crew members? Would the crew expect a bigger tip or a gift on the cruises on Christmas?

They don't expect larger tips for the staff, but I can confirm that cruises on Christmas or New Years are sometimes twice as expensive as the same cruise the week before or after the holiday period.

For example: a 4-day cruise on the Holiday for next December 11-15 is $299 per person for an outside cabin. The same cruise leaves on Christmas day and the price is $479 per person.

Thank you for the reply, Dave
