Hi all, we are a couple with a teenage girl, going to Greece. We will be in the Star Princess and have to choose between Aloja Deck (Balcony: A423, A429, A431), Emerald Deck (oceanview: E101, E110), or an interior cabin.
What do you suggest considering price defferences? Is it worth it to have a balcony for this trip?
Thanks, your help is very much appreciated

A balcony is so very nice to enjoy. Once you try a balcony there is no going back. You can sit out with your bathroom and coffee and take it all in. Going to Greece the sights should be awesome, it is worth the extra and sometimes it means just a little more $ if you break it down by day.......so worth it!! GO FOR IT :O)

The weather and the vistas on a Greek Island cruise definitely call for a balcony cabin if at all possible. And as janfred pointed out, when you break it down, the balcony cabin isn't that much more per day than an oceanview. I've even seen some sales recently where the o.v. and balcony were actually the same price.

I would select A423 if available because it is a little farther from the elevator lobby--not that that is a big problem; any of the three would be fine.

Thanks janfred and f-mattox. Do you know about a better cruise line or time of the year to go to Greece?

Since Princess is my favorite line, I can't imagine a better choice. However, you can certainly have your travel agent shop around for you. There's plenty of competition. Make sure they compare the same itinerary, and see if the time in port is the same before making your decision.

maria777, you didn't mention when exactly you were thinking of going, but I would suggest, if possible, avoiding late July and early August; that is when it is usually the hottest and most humid and also when many Europeans are on vacation; this can make some of the more popular sites very crowded.

Also, while I agree with Penny about Princess being my favorite cruise line, with a teenager, you might want to take a look at Royal Caribbean, as was suggested on your other thread; I think they may hold more appeal to a teenager.
