My newest obsession is to view the ports I'll be traveling to on Google Earth. It really gives me some perspective and some visuals on the local lanmarks. Am I the only OCD cruise junkie who dos this?

I have it set up on my Dell and just recently was looking at St. Thomas and the Turks. So you are not the only one. I don't have it set up on the old computer I use more though. I was afraid it would eat up too much space as it is limited. I may move some files to external storage and install it. It is quite fun and educational. Do you have the 5.0?

You are definitely not alone. I started doing this the moment I discovered Google Earth. I even pin the locations. What's interesting is that, during my research for my upcoming cruise, I have seen the local travel bureaus of smaller towns link to their location on Google Maps.

I've been doing the same thing with Google Earth for years. I'm intrigued by the ocean floor.

I have started to "Geotag" some of my photos so I can see where they were taken.
I have to use Goggle, my son would not be happy with me if I used Virtual Earth. You can probably guess where he works.

Thank you, poormom, for this idea. I'm embarrassed to say that for as much time as I spend on my computer I have never thought of this!

I find myself going to Kroooz cams to check out the port. I like to see if my ship is there. Tomorrow I will check out Juneau, We will be there in 4 Fridays. So far it looks like the ports we are going to are having great weather. However the only week that matters is the week we are there
