I was sitting in a very cool room as I wrote this.

Thoughts For A Hot Day

When the weather's very hot,
And there's nothing cool to choose,
Then, do the coolest thing I know
And set off upon a cruise.

So when the asphalt starts to melt
And your eggs get fried outside,
There's nothing like an ocean breeze
And a gentle calming tide.

Then, when the sun glows fiery hot,
And no clouds are to be seen,
The place for you is by the pool
On some fabled ocean queen.

So leave behind the burning heat,
And embark on waves so blue.
For, sailing's in your secret heart,
And to your heart be true.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Paul; as usual, very timely as here in the NE we are on our way back to Hazy, Hot, and Humid..I checked the Farmer's Almanac earlier this Spring and thought we would have "the summer of not" as lots of rain seemed to be predicted. Not so and I'm ready for a cruise but will hold off untile the Cold, Snowy, Sleet type weather comes back to us.

Thank you, Paul, sure wish I could hop on board right now! It's not that hot here, but the humidity is unbelievable. We've got a heat advisory today for 106 even though the actual temperature will probably be around 94-96. Would love to be sitting underneath a palm tree, with cold drink in hand, staring at the ocean!

I love it, Paul. Thank you for sharing. It is presently 102F in the Boston area today, and that is on the coast! The all-time record for Boston is supposedly 104F...not for this day, but for any day since stats have been kept.
