Thumbs up Outside Excursions
Just a precautionary word about Outside Excursion Vendors during Hurricane season. Make certain who you are dealing with guarantees if your ship doesn't arrive as scheduled you will be issued a full refund. Now most Excursion Vendors do this. However as with all things in life, there are a few rotten and unscrupulous apples out there.

They cancelled the Welcome Aboard Show. 16 ft seas and 40 knots winds when they were 30 miles off the coast near Jacksonville FL. The following days were beautiful and apparently the guests had a grand time after that. I have to admit I was a little nervous having them do that but I do agree the other options may have been worse. They were in Charleston, home port, that Thursday with Irene bearing down on them. Other than that one time she has had ports change and stayed at sea extra days but never even close to trouble by Hurricanes.
Thanks CruiseDad. I read basically the same thing from Risa. I also have to admit that I was a bit nervous about them doing that as well. I am glad they made it alright and sorry your Daughter got sick. I would have too with seas like that. Now we know that the Fantasy can get to Cozumel from Charleston if the situation calls for it. I doubt they would ever make that an Itinerary though because of the fuel costs. I would pay extra though if they did.
