and other cruisers only mentioned their experience...think I ll pass on this company,,,may save money,,but if things go wrong,,only myself to blame...some mentioned 20 min.phone call wait and other a hassle with refund...so heads up CR readers...really CHECK a new company for details BEFORE you book.Will stick to ones I can book thru TA and not worry.
Alexandra, please keep in mind that travel agents are not allowed to identify themselves as such on this board. I know of a couple of couples who book with Vantage a lot and have not had any problems. However, working with a travel agent has the advantages you have listed, namely they're there to advise and counsel both before and after the trip. Since that has a lot of value, too, the decision about which way to go is subjective.
Some tour companies & cruise lines book directly with the clients
It does not make them good or bad
If you need the security of having a TA handle things for you then that is a personal choice
There are good & bad TA's as well
Make sure you have trip insurance to cover you in all eventualities
