headed back to sea
A few years back we were regular cruisers with RCCL. We had an inside stateroom my daughter's fiance and husband shared and it flooded. the plumbing outside their door was being worked on, and passengers were notified that the water would be turned off ship-wide for an afternoon (fortunately a port day) due to this maintenance. We notified maintenance of the water which they came and vacuumed up, repeatedly, to no avail. The guys toughed it out with the squishy mess of carpet (it was H20 NOT sewer). RCCL denied it had happened and offered them no compensation or even discount on their next booking and "had no record" of them reporting the flooding. My daughter and I are returning of RCCL. We have had so little to complain about in all the cruises we have taken that even a soggy flood can't keep us away. To each their own. Someday the bad may outweigh the good--but not today!
