For those who think they deserve their entire cruise fee refunded because they didn't like the cruise ship's coffee, or because their cabin attendant didn't make towel animals every night...this article is about you!
I just got back from the fascination on Thursday and had a wonderful time.
I went to the pursers desk to close out my sign and sale account and there was a couple asking for their tip money back. their reason was, the food was not good and the bed was uncomfortable. HOW VERY CRUEL OF THESE PEOPLE. they didnt look to me like they had missed a meal or a wink of sleep. they didnt intend to pay the tips in the first place.
they should have stayed home!
At least they could have had a better lame excuse. Waiters aren't responsible for food quality and cabin stewards don't buy the beds. But then as you say they had no intention of tipping anyway.
I sometimes think the ship should give the non-tippers a special debarkation number so they can all leave at the same time, and then pass the word around so they can be mocked by the other passengers. Sort of a cruise version of a perp-walk. And put their luggage in a special 'non-tipper' section so the porters in the terminal ignore them.
"Attention Please. All passengers who stiffed the crew may now disembark the ship. Only the cheapskates at this time. Complimentary water balloons may be obtained from the Atrium Bar. All other passengers are urged to keep your distance as this group leaves. Thank you. "
