FYI: Bonnie and Charley have impacted some cruise itineraries. Carnival and Royal Caribbean both announced changes due to the impending storms/hurricanes this week:
Carnival Cruise Lines announced as a result of the development of two tropical storms. Both, particularly Charley, are impacting Western Caribbean itineraries. Carnival Triumph will bypass its planned call this week at Ocho Rios (and go to Nassau instead). Paradise is replacing Grand Cayman with Nassau. And Carnival Conquest will go to Progreso instead of Ocho Rios.
Royal Caribbean also reported changes to some itineraries: Rhapsody of the Seas will call on Costa Maya, Mexico this Thursday instead of Georgetown, Grand Cayman and Majesty of the Seas will visit Freeport, Bahamas this Thursday instead of Key West.

Nancy,
Just thought I'd give you an update from a local resident. As I live in Naples, we evacuated from our home on Thursday and moved further inland with some friends. We were able to return to our home late Friday and I am so thankful we were spared any major damage I wanted to share the good news! In fact, we are one of the few residents in the city that actually still have power. We lost a tree, but no major flooding - it stopped about 6 inches from our house (talk about lucky!)
Shelley
Wow!!! Shelley, you are lucky! That is great news! I have a cousin who also lives in Naples and, he too was one of the lucky ones. I also have a friend that has property on Sanibel Island. We are waiting to hear word about the damage to her property. Fortunately, it is not her primary residence.
Nancy
Thanks for the update Shelley! I have been worried about all the people affected by this storm. We are going to be in Naples in October and are getting very excited! I don't know if you could answer this but have you ever been on the airboat rides in the Everglades? I'm trying to find someone who has been on them and want to get some reviews.
