Parking Off-site
My wife and I have always parked at the port when we drove (Port Canaveral, NY, Baltimore). We always liked the ability to walk to the car and get on the road. The price for parking off site and being shuttled is almost half the cost but we're concerned we'd be stuck waiting for a shuttle and the safety factor. Any thoughts?

I always go with convenience over cost if driving to a cruise these days. Both times we used alternate parking (Mobile once, and New Orleans once) we lost at least an hour of driving time while waiting for shuttles, then getting the car out of the lot, etc.

We have driven to Port Canaveral twice
and always use port parking..There has been a lot of news about this recently in Orlando.Since off site parking being limited by port(it seems).
We always drive to FL ports(like the covered parking and closeness over price)..

I agree with the time savings of parking at the port. However, for Galveston, there are parking lots that are not terminal run that offer less expensive parking and are at most 100 ft of extra walking compared to the terminal lots. AND some of the terminal lots (the less expensive ones) are shuttled anyway so you don't save any time using them.

SO I guess what I am saying is that not ALL ports have more convenient parking.

off site parking at port of Baltimore
anyone know where you can park off site and be shuttled to terminal? Port of Baltimore Staying at motel that doesn't offer park and cruise package thanks

The parking at the port of Baltimore is probably the best of any U.S. cruise port. You car is literally just a minute or two walk from the terminal. Is price your main concern?
