Pagent

In the days that have passed
In all of my years,
There has been laughter
And Also been tears.

And I have seen elephants
Massive and gray,
Marching before me
In endless array.

I've crossed over mountains
And seen rivers flow.
I've cruised the wide ocean
And played in the snow.

Rich men and poor men
And beggars and kings,
An oplulent minstrel
Who dances and sings.

A potion, a pill, and a
Deft surgeon's knife.
All these are a part
Of everyman's life.
