Sea Music

No words can describe it
The lure of the sea.
It life and its legends
Are calling to me.

The exquisite memories
Of voyages abide.
All manner of vessels
On oceans so wide.

The pilgrims and whalers,
The pirates so bold,
The Spanish explorers
With ships full of gold.

The vast open vistas
The salty sea breeze,
The wildness of waves,
All pleasures that please.

The winds of the fresh gale
Exerting their grip,
The lash of the tempest,
Storms shaking the ship.

The bright copper sunset,
The silver at night,
The sky full of diamonds
Each sparkling and bright.

The sea is the setting
For love and romance.
The orchestra's playing,
So come to the dance.
