Default Good news for California cruisers
Some exciting and interesting cruises being offered out of California this Winter. Holland America will have two ships sailing roundtrip out of San Diego doing various lengths of cruises to Mexico, Hawaii, and South Pacific.

Starting in March 2014 Celebrity Cruises will have a series of eight cruises sailing out of San Pedro, California doing 7-13 night cruises up the California coast into the wine country. A special " Craft Beer" themed cruise sails on April 12th.

California public school schedules are not all the same. For example, Orange County schools take their spring break March 22-30 according to the schedule I just saw, and Oakland schools don't do it until April 12-20.

For colleges, they are listed here.

Easter falls very late this year, April 20th. Most schools will have later breaks this year, so February should be a pretty good time to cruise sans lots of children.

My friends are taking a Carnival cruise from long beach and wondered how full the ship would be with youngsters...thanks for the replies as I can tell them they won't have too many on board for their feb 17th cruise.
