Default Cruise Passengers Going Overboard on the Rise
Hi everyone.

I came across this article, which seems to indicate people jumping or falling overboard seems to be on the rise. Thought this was interesting. Hard to believe though someone could accidentally fall overboard if just standing on the deck, given the height of the rails.

Like the article states, I could believe suicide may be a factor, since in some cases, they have to actually jump forward, to clear decks below, if they climb the rails, as opposed to jumping straight down.

Yet another case of a passenger going overboard, although this one appears to be suicide, from the article. Here is the link.

Of course this story had the usual speculation yesterday, actually some wild speculation. One passenger told a local news outlet it was a 16 year old boy who was thrown overboard by a crewmember. Then we learn it was a 43 year old who apparently knew what he was doing.

I didn't hear that first part of the story, Dave. Not sure who told the media it was a 16 year old. I say it appears to be suicide, because this particular article states that the passenger "climbing over the railing and going overboard."
