Trick for Getting Wrinkles Out

Hi everyone.

Since most cruise lines do not allow irons, here is a trick to getting wrinkles out of clothes that I learned from my dad.

If you unpack your clothes, hang them on the back of the bathroom door, (for shirts, hang them with the back of the shirt facing you if you are facing the bathroom door) and turn the shower on hot. The steam should take the wrinkles out within a reasonable amount of time.

My dad travels extensively on business, and does this all the time.

Rolling you clothes for packing helps them not get as wrinkled as folding.

An old Navy trick was to turn uniforms inside out and then roll them. This is how we stowed our "cracker jacks" dress uniforms in the little storage space we had.

Yes, the shower trick works quite well for dress clothes. I take some Downey wrinkle releaser to use on Polo type shirts etc.

Knock on wood but I guess we have been lucky in this catagory and have not had much to deal with when we unpacked; but if we did, the shower does do a good job of it.

We have a small hand held steamer that we bring along. 3 cruises and it has never been a problem, works great!

We bring a small steamer. What works the best is putting everything in separate plastic bags...everything just slips on everything else and nothing wrinkles...kind of like what people used to do with tissue paper.
