Default Passport question
We are getting ready to renew our passports. Is there an advantage to ordering both a passport book and card? Can the card be used when going on a cruise to Alaska or the Caribbean?

Thank you.

The card can be used for a closed loop cruise, but only for the land entry at the port of embarkation so it's no good should you need to fly home from the cruise early.

I happen to have both the card and the book but I got the card just to have another photo ID. That's all I use it for. If the extra cost is no problem, go for it and get both.
