Good point, Bryan. There's also those "Elite Access" (or similar, depending on the airline) status patrons who pre-board, and stow their carry on bags. My dad has a bag that on a 737, will not fit length wise, so he has to turn it the long way, essentially taking up more room in the bin. However, on a 757, that same bag will fit length wise, or going in wheels first.

Also, my dad is an Elite Access status.
