I would appreciate some suggestions on how best to get back and forth from Ft. Lauderdale Airport to Pt. Everglades. THere are 8 of us. We have 2 seniors in their 80s with us. Should we make arrangements ahead of time or just show up at FLL and grab a cab or shuttle? Thanks

The port is just a couple miles from the airport. In fact in some terminals you can see the ships. I'd just go and grab a couple of taxis, or perhaps the dispatcher at the cab stand will have a van taxi available.
