Better late than never... Based on Cruises on Princess, HAL and Celebrity, Celebrity wins hands down for price/quality ratio. HAL is next and then Princess. However, the ship is only a part of a cruise...an important part, but only a part, nonetheless. The ports of call and the people you meet on board are also important. One's attitude also plays a role. If you are unable to accept certain minor things and are itching to complain, you will surely find things to complain about on any cruise, no matter how many stars...and it will probably be what you will remember most of the cruise (and discuss most with your friends). Such a shame.

They all are worth the price to different people. To say one cruise line is a better value than another is not easy to answer becasue it is all a personal preference. Find what your preferences are and than find a good TA and they will lead you to the right cruise line for you.

Each cruise line is known for certain qualities and you want the cruise line that fits the qualities you like. For instance some here said Celebrity is the best for the money, I have been on Celebrity and out of the 5 cruise lines I have been on it is the worst for the money for me personally. That does not mean I am right and they are wrong it only means Celebrity did not meet my needs and another line did.

List what you like and find a good TA that will listen to what you like if they do not want to know what you like head to another TA real fast.
