This is a new and somewhat different verse

I am the sea.
I am the raging tempest come
To rip and tear away your sails.
I am the wind
That blows the racing clouds
And generates the force that makes the gales.

I am the fish.
I swim in schools beneath the sea,
The dolphins and the sharks that prey.
I am your food
The silver fish upon your plate.
I am the sustinance that makes the fishman's day.

I am the ship.
I am the motive power
That generates the commerce of the seas.
I cruise upon the waves.
From tiny fishing boats to maritime hotels
Behold the awesome wonder that is me!

Ditto. Paul, do you live near the ocean? I'm just curious because your works so vividly describe the wonderous sea.

Penny, I live in San Antonio Texas, but I have been on 26 cruises. I am glad you like my little verses.

That's surprising. I just imagined you sitting on your deck, watching the waves roll in (a dream of mine) and being inspired. You capture the aura of the ocean so vividly.
