What to pack for mid April

We will be on our first transatlantic crossing leaving from Miami in Mid-late April. What can we expect for weather temps. on board and in Spain and Italy. I know Miami can have some 80 degree days but wasn't sure about the open sea. We are from the midwest, temps still in the 55-70 degree range so would appreciate any help with ideas on what we might want/need to pack. Such as slacks,jeans and light jackets. Or light slacks and shorts.

I'd take slacks, shorts, and tops that can be layered. A light rain jacket/wind breaker and a sweater or two. It will probably be hot in Miami and will probably cool down after the first day. Normal temps should be in the 50s- 60s low 40s - 50s in Spain and Italy, but you never know. Could be in the 70s, could be in the 40s.
