Sure, it is a marketing ploy but Carnival Corporation & plc have posted a new tool where you answer some questions and it suggests which of the Carnival cruise brands is the best fit for your tastes. Read more HERE

I took it, using cruises to Australia and the South Pacific as my choice. I had two recommended lines - Princess and Holland America.

I posted this here in General since it covers several cruise lines, which all happen to be owned by Carnival Corporation.

I took the quiz and it returned Carnival and Costa. At least it got one of them right. I like that they include the Travel Agent locator. I put my zip code in and and my TA came right up. I doubt I would rely on it to pick the right cruise line for me though.

Very interesting; came up with Princess and Holland America and also my agent as well as two others that are highly respected in my area.

Mine returned Princess and HAL, very interesting, indeed. Had it returned Princess and Costa, I would have said it hit the nail on the head. Some of the questions I had more than 1 answer to, but it would only let you pick 1 answer.

If they really want to do something with the World's Leading Cruise Lines..Here is a suggestion;

Make the use of Past Guest benefits (Vacation Interchange Privileges) more easy to use between the lines. I tried to get a past guest rate for Princess last year, and it was like pulling teeth to just get a list of available dates.
