Dave - I think Nadine has hit it right on the button - it s just too much fun to watch the days dwindle until the next cruise!! It also helps to remind one of the dates when the final payments are due!!! I think that's the Yin and the Yang of it!!!

I'm not so sure about the photos being a problem. Wouldn't that be true for anyone who posts vacation photos on the internet? An avatar photo isn't going to tell someone my street address.

I agree that photos shouldn't be a problem so long as identifying information in one's profile is kept to a minimum.

Another thought on countdown clocks is to remove them while you are away. I just did that for my recent cruise. Although my house wasn't empty, I didn't want something that screamed, "I am on my cruise!"
