We just had the easiest time finding our luggage I can't believe we never tried it sooner. Our grandkids our constantly playing with our car keys so we went and bought a key finder remote that locates lost keys with 300 ft. We removed them from our keys and attached them to our luggage. Upon entering the pickup area we hit the button and just walked to the beep.We had these for years and never thought of the luggage.A good locator cost about 29 dollars and will locate up to 4 items

Good idea! Let's hope you always reach your beeping luggage before Homeland Security destroys them in the terminal and takes you in for questioning!

That is a good idea. We just resort to brightly colored handle wraps... but the beeping idea is a good one.

We use the colored ribbons, plus colored tape on the sides and bottom.

Yeah, the baggage area will sound like a World Cup stadium with all those horns.

Wow Casey and Kathy, I've never thought of that. I've been on two cruises, soon to be three, and the previous two were different systems. The first was a carousel system like at airports, but the other was just where you walk to your assigned departure number, and look for it there in a staging area.

The first time I did express departure, so I didn't have to go to baggage claim, but on my second, it was a bit interesting in the staging area. I was looking in the staging area but didn't see it at first, and when I looked again, it was right in front of me. I'm thinking it was either delivered shortly after they called my number, or someone took it at first thinking it was theirs, realized their mistake, then brought it back.

We resort to the bright colored luggage tags that we got from AAA. I can't remember the name of the brand off hand. On my last cruise we were a green color group, and the luggage tag was green, which is why someone may have just grabbed it without looking at the luggage tag at first, then realized their mistake!

We use brightly colored bandanas since those are readily available here in Texas in mutiple color choices. They have worked great, and we didn't see but one or two other people who used them. Now, everyone don't go out and buy bandanas...nobody will get the correct luggage http://bestsmileys.com/lol/21.gif.

One of our friends, who knows we love to travel, bought us the best set of luggage tags/finders we'd ever owned. They have a pocket that is intended to hold a copy of our itinerary. There's printing on the tag in several languages indicating that the itinerary is inside in case we need to be found. Another great aspect is that the tags are a bright yellow and large (about 4"x5") and are easily spotted from across a terminal.
