Last year we took a family cruise on the Carnival Pride, and loved it so much, that we are taking another cruise next Jan. There were 5 of us, and we had a terrible time finding each other on the ship. Does anyone have any sugggestions on how you keep in touch/find each other in a large group on the ship?
I have not done this yet but, I have alot of friends who take a remote walkie talkie.. they fine at Radio Shack or WalMart and love it and they say they are cheap
Carnival also rents the two way radios. I think it is $12 per day for 2. It's probably much cheaper to buy a set. The leaving notes in the cabin idea is also a great solution if you are in the same cabin. I can't think of all the times I've heard other cruisers saying they looked in the cabin and only missed each other by minutes.
Also, (some people don't realize this) there are "house" phones available in some areas of most ships. Just ask if you want to call a cabin and they'll direct you, and save yourself a trip.
Dwayne has a great suggestion, too. They could also page them. But setting meeting times and leaving notes is a very inexpensive solution. The two-ways I've seen have come in sets of 2.
