I live about an hour away from Port Canaveral and was told that if i was to walk up on the day a cruise is leaving and if there are any open cabins that i would be able to get a good deal. Was wondering if anyone has heard of this. Someone i know said they did this but this was pre 9/11 so i dont know if there have been many changes since then. Any info would be a big help cause i would like to go on July 30th and give it a try.

Thanks

Welcome to cruise-chat! Glad to have you onboard. As for last minute cruising, since 9/11 that is no longer an option. Due to security reasons cruiselines require passenger info a minimum of 72 hours prior to sailing, and most prefer it 30 days out. Sorry!
Nancy
