Will, I suggest you see a good cruise-oriented travel agent in your area - they can help you find a cruise that will match your interests and budget. There is so much to choose from!!! If you don't know any, look for those with CLIA logos in their ads, ask around, or you can contact me at travel@knowlton.org and I might be able to help you long-distance.

The first thing you need to do is fiqure out where you want to go. Departing out of Florida is typically the best rates. Western goes to Grand Cayman, Jamaica, and Cozumel. Eastern sails to San Juan, St. Thomas and one other island. Then you need to pick a cruise line you want to sail on. They are all different a good cruise specialist can help you here. Then type of cabin based on the amount of money you are willing to spend. The most economical is the inside cabin. Having cruised a lot I recomend you work with an agency that specializes in cruises in order to get the best rates and knowlegeable staff. I book thru Value Cruise Travel Inc. www.valuecruise.expertrip.com
Shop for rates and go with the one who gives you the best service for the $. Have a woinderful first cruise!

Although I've never used them personally, Vacationstogo.com has some very good deals. Some friends have and were pleased. We going on a 10 day Caribbean Medley on November 30th, which sails from Fort Lauderdale. We've sailed on her before, and the ship and staff are marvelous. You'll find your rates quite a bit higher, the closer you get to Christmas and New Years. Look carefully at the ports of call, and check out the State Department warnings on their web site. Some cruise line have stopped going into certain ports, and others go in even with the warnings. Read the warnings carefully and make your decision from there.

Just realized I didn't put the name of the ship down. We're going on the Dawn Princess. Sorry

Hi Susie. My name is Terry and my boyfriend and I are also going on the Dawn Princess on Nov. 30th. We're really looking forward to it. It's my 4th cruise, but his first - and I hope this is a good first experience for him. Have you ever done this itinerary before? Where are you from?

Let's email each other. My email address is: terry.alsop@telus.com

Bye for now, (only 141 sleeps!)

Hi Will!

Good to hear that you're considering a cruise. If you don't mind, tell us a bit more about you, your interests, and what you expact from a vacation. Asking about the "best cruise" is like asking what car is the best. You will get many different answers, but what's the best car for you very much depends on your interests and needs. It's very similar when it comes to cruises.
