After spending $200 my son was nt happy to learn he didn't need a passport after all with the closed loop....thing....Sheesh!

Just remind him, if anything happened and he would have to fly home, he'd need it. So it never hurts to have it. He might even decide that he'd like to do a Med cruise sometime

A good thing to have...and just think of it as a 10 year investment @ $20 per year for solid indentification and peace of mind when traveling. Good choice for everyone who travels!

Hey all, just a heads up. This forum was spammed yesterday with someone promoting a site that sells fake ID's and Passports. I'm sure most of us would know better than to use such a service. Just beware that there are spammers and scammers out there.

With your passport you are ready to go anywhere at anytime. No waiting.
Ours in Canada are only good for 5 years, but that might be a good thing. Recently one woman got stuck in Africa for a couple of months since some stupid official decided she didn't look like her passport because she had lost weight and confiscated it. She had to get DNA tesing from her son back in Canada to prove who she was.
