Here is a website if you are interested in checking on the Sanitary Inspection score of your ship...

www.cdc.gov

and click on Vessel Sanitation Program...

Lists all scores and any fixes that took place..

I'm glad to see carnival glory had a score of 100. Is that the best they can get? although I realise nothing is perfect.

Thanks for posting this. Folks often complain about too much governmental regulation. As nit-picky as the details may seem, it makes me feel a lot better about cruising to know that somebody is watching out for us.

Thanks Bob E, for posting the info.

Here is a direct link to the inspection search page.

tttrrr, The Glory seems to consistently get high scores. I checked them before my last cruise. They sure aren't cutting back on bleach. I made a late night pizza run, and I thought the bleach was going to make my eyes close while going through the Lido restaurant.

All the ships seem to get pretty good scores. If they don't the problem gets fixed quickly.

If the same "inspection" was done in your local restaurants, I bet the scores would be no where near that good. This is a case where tight government regulations followed up by inspections works.

Jim,
You are correct. The cruise lines are held to a higher standard. Once when I did a galley tour the chef said they could get an infraction for wearing a watch.

Jim, that is very true. It is very difficult for a land based restaurant to get a 100% score from a local DHEC office verses a CDC ship inspection. I'm just glad the ships are doing so well.

Having attended several USPH inspections, I wouldn't get so hung up in points. As long as the ships are not failing it, it doesn't make much difference if you make 91 or 100 points. There are certainly other factors that will decide if your cruise will be a success or not.
