Independence vs Brilliance of the seas

Hi guys, I don't have a booked cruise yet.But lately I did a lot of checking for Europe cruise prices. It never hurts to dream that someday we will do a Europe cruise, right?

I saw that the prices for 3rd and 4th person on Brilliance's 12 night Mediterranean is much higher compare to the 14 night on Independence. Is it because Brilliance is more popular, or the itinerary are far better than IOS? And I am talking about the prices for early May-June of next year.
I did one cruise with Independence, but never cruised on the Brilliance before. My understanding is D1 cabins on IOS are bigger than D1 on BOS.

Can somebody who has already taken a Europe cruise please enlighten me.Thank you.

I would say it is a case of "supply and demand". The Brilliance being a much smaller ship doesn't have near the 3rd & 4th capacity of the Independence.

D1 cabins on Independence are 214 sq ft cabin with 68 sq ft balcony. D1 on Brilliance is 204 sq ft cabin and 41 sq ft balcony.
