No one ever thinks to check out pawn shops for rings, but you can get some good deals. Also, there seem to be a lot listed in the want ads and ebay. It's not how much it costs, it's how it was given. I'm happy with my $69/opal band. I had purchased some beautiful rings over the years. They were stolen from my hotel room in Vegas. Thankfully, they let me live. They had to have been in the room while I was there because I had taken them off when I went to bed. That scared me more than anything else.
