pre paid tipping question?

I was looking through some of my info for the glory cruise. I know they offer prepaid tipping, I was wondering if this was a good idea. Would the crew know that I prepaid their tips. Would it be better to tip on my own at the end of the cruise? I just want to make sure they actually receive the tips but don't want to worry about budgeting for it at the end. What is best?

Pre-paid tips are paid with your cruise payment and everythings taken care of before you leave home. You can't remove pre-paid tips. If you don't pre-pay your tips then Carnival will automatically apply the tips to your on board account. Those can be adjusted or removed. The crew will receive a list with names of anyone that pre-paid tips or used the on board account method.
