Please help me to plan a future cruise.

When during this upcoming year of 2006 will cruise lines have information and especially brochures available for me to be able to plan a cruise for the summer of 2007?

Some old brochures that I have now, for example, cover 2005 and they have the first quarter of 2006. Newer brochures would have 2006 and a bit of 2007. There must be a certain time of year when they roll out the new brochures and schedules?

I am thinking that I would like to take a northern European cruise in the summer of 2007; I would like to be able to research it and book it as early as I can in order to have the best choice of stateroom. So when should I be looking for these brochures?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Lana,

I know Royal Caribbean just has schedules out as far as April 2007 right now; I'm not sure about the other cruise lines. Royal Carib says it's not sure when itineraries and rates will be out for summer 2007. It was not until April 2005 that rates for summer 2006 came out. Cruise lines used to work about a year and a half in advance, so I'm thinking summer 2007 may be out in the next month or so for many cruise lines.

Sandy~~~

Thank you very much for the info about the rates. Do you know when the print brochures might be available? I wonder if there is a certain month of the spring when a boatload of new brochures shows up at travel agencies?

Lana, brochures show up at my agency in late spring, but there is often preliminary information available before that on the cruise lines' web sites.

Thats correct I normally book our cruise as early as a year and a half to ensure I get the cabin I want
