Dave, it has nothing to do with the gutter. Jack is a pretty hilarious guy from Britain. Words there don't mean the same as they do over here... To them, bloody is somewhat profane, although still an adjective. To us, it merely describes some sort of gory scene. And the word fanny, we will just leave alone. I honestly believe the "gfy" was, innocently, misunderstood. Of course, that made it more humorous. Of course, this answer is coming from a "fruitcake." That moniker really intrigued me because how was Jack to know that my grandparents own one of the largest fruitcake bakeries in the nation????

actually I am a little embarrassed using that term as an example as I have just looked up the USA slang version and found out it is completely different to the english version that I thought I was using....oh boy at least you realised the way it was meant so yes I agree that sometimes usa & english interpretation of words can really be different.
