My husband and I are first time cruisers. We want to go to the greek isles and possibly Turkey or Egypt. We would like a cruise line with great food, larger size suites(snoring issues) and to avoid Italy except for departure from Venice as we are going on a trip to Italy 10/08. We are not big on night life or crowds. We want to go April, May or June 08 and they seem to be quite full. What ships are most recommended for a week long to 10 day cruise? Any suggestions would help, thanks.

Hi Kandy53, welcome to Cruise-Chat. For large cabins, Costa, for good food Princess, for great itineraries Princess or Royal. My best suggestion is to find a good travel agent that specializes in cruising, if possible find a certified cruise consultant. Food is very subjective, but out of the cruise lines we've sailed, Princess is our favorite. The cabins on Costa are very roomy, but we've not booked suites, just regular balcony cabins. The cabins we've had on Princess were larger than the cabins we've had on RCCI and HAL, pretty close to the same size on Carnival and NCL. Again, we've never had a suite. For the best results, a cruise consultant is invaluable, they'll be able to find the best fit for your requirements. Best wishes and once again, welcome aboard! Let us know which one you pick.

How about Greece and Turkey, balcony under $200/day/person, 12 nights. Late April. There are still some great deals available. For grins I priced out this cruise w/ airfare (not cruiseline) and compared it to last summers 12NT cruise. It was cheaper!! Now if I can convince my DW.
