I was going to post a question about airlines and then as I was reading some posts I came up with another question. I didn't want to make two different posts so here goes.... What is tendering? and What is a good airline to fly to Vancouver so I can depart on my Alaskan cruise?

Tendering is when the ship anchors and the pax is being brought to and from shore with smaller boats which are called tenders.

This is done in some ports due to lack of suitable berth space.

Hi vacationbound, its a little bit hard to answer that question as you just show as registered and give no indication of where you are from. If you look at the bottom of my post you will see I am from the uk.If you are from the uk then I would suggest you look at zoom air for budget air travel as they seem to be doing ok at the moment and they fly from london to vancouver.
I'm sure some of the other members will be able to give you lots of information about US airlines if you let them know the departure airport....sorry I cant help more. regards jack

If you have the option, I prefer either Sun Country Airlines or Frontier Airlines

Which brings us to the point of ARRRIVE early to tender back to the ship- it can take a little time and you don't want to be left behind!
