I most certainly did not mean to discourage anyone from bringing their cameras in my previous post.

I take 2 cameras and a cam-corder sometimes. I have never had any problems either. It sometimes depends which island I am on that determines my comfort level of leaving my stuff on the beach.

But as far as taking them absolutely
