Do the ships do anything special of the 4th... any fireworks off the deck or anything?
Just curious as my Son and new Daughter-in-law are on their Honeymoon on an RC ship, do back in Miami tomorrow. |

Well like I told my wife. If they did I would fell sorry for the ship in distress sending up flares and eveyone watching the great show. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Disney is the only ship I know of that does have a fireworks show. And not just on the 4th of July.

I am a huge fan of fireworks but, if I am on a cruise, I would rather they keep the pyrotechnics on tiera firma. I have always believed that if you go looking for trouble, you will easily find it.

Well, the new Solstice is going to have glass blowing on the ship. Now that's pretty hot!

John Heald just posted on his blog that some woman (from America) was "disgusted" just because the band played the Star Spangled Banner on July 4th.
If they had displayed fireworks...she may have done herself in. Good thing they don't have them. |

It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of the scene at the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace on September 12, 2001. The military band played The Star-Spangled Banner during the ceremony, which was quite moving and a damned decent thing for them to do. |
Here is her pathetic note to John. Another candidate for the "I Need A Life Foundation".
