Do the ships do anything special of the 4th... any fireworks off the deck or anything?
Just curious as my Son and new Daughter-in-law are on their Honeymoon on an RC ship, do back in Miami tomorrow.
Well like I told my wife. If they did I would fell sorry for the ship in distress sending up flares and eveyone watching the great show.
sometimes we (I) ask questions to keep the little woman happy.
I am a huge fan of fireworks but, if I am on a cruise, I would rather they keep the pyrotechnics on tiera firma. I have always believed that if you go looking for trouble, you will easily find it.
John Heald just posted on his blog that some woman (from America) was "disgusted" just because the band played the Star Spangled Banner on July 4th.
Americans like her typically lead petty little lives and dwell on finding a reason to complain at all costs. I am happy she was not on my cruise, and she should be happy (or maybe thankful) I was not on her cruise.
It still brings tears to my eyes when I think of the scene at the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace on September 12, 2001. The military band played The Star-Spangled Banner during the ceremony, which was quite moving and a damned decent thing for them to do.
