Hi, this is our first cruise. We are going on Carnival Ectasy leaving next Monday. I just received word that we have been upgraded but our room is at the back of the ship. Is this good or bad????? HELP!

Lucky you! Upgraded on your first cruise. Some of us wait years for this. An upgrade to aft usually means a higher deck, a better cabin, or both. Trust me: an upgrade is a GOOD thing. The only slight disadvantage to being aft is having to walk a little farter to some venues.
You didn't mention where you're going, but have a great trip!

Thank you so much for your answer. We are going to Progresso and Cozumel and are soooo excited. The weather here is horrible so that makes it even more exciting to get out of it!

Again, thank you. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
