Hi toy9, welcome to Cruise-Chat. You can contact the cruise line with your voyage number and they may be able to get in contact with the ship's photographers. Usually these are contract individuals, so they're not actually a member of the cruise lines employment. I don't know how long they would keep the files after a cruise, though. Probably not long because it would take up terabytes of disc space.

I don't see how anyone possibly could get pictures once they are off the ship. Unless you had already spoken to the photo department prior to getting off the ship and they gave you some type of photo id #. Even then it would be a long shot that all the photos weren't recycled and the digital cards cleared.

I agree... it's a definite longshot. They process sooooo many pictures on a cruise (of any length) that is would be virtually impossible to find a single picture in a digital haystack.

"I'm 65, gray hair, and I was wearing a dark suit and blue tie; may wife was wearing a white suite and black blouse. What, you can't find us? What if I send you a photo of us--would that help?"

You laugh, but the photo shop sales clerk on our last cruise related a story about some older gentleman getting irate and yelled at him asking "how am I supposed to know which picture is mine???" The sales guy said he just stood there unable to come up with an answer he could give that wouldn't get him fired.

I guess they need to have a full length mirror behind the counter. When idiots ask that question, walk them over to the mirror and say "There, now go look for a picture that looks like that."

That would spell the end of my photo shop career. My answer would have been "Look for the photos with the in them. Those are yours."

"How could you not find a woman wearing a suite?".

(sorry 'bout that--the edit window closed before I caught it)

Welcome to Cruise-Chat, toy9. I was just on a back to back on the Mariner and forgot to purchase a picture that we wanted on the first cruise. When we asked about about it at the beginning of out second cruise we were told all pictures were deleted. Next time we won't procrastinate.
