Prescription Meds questions

This is an airline question to. Can I bring a 7 day planner for my meds or do I need to bring the bottles with the name and meds on them?

Here is a snippet from the TSA website:

Please make sure your medications are properly labeled with a professionally printed label identifying the medication and manufacturer's name or pharmaceutical label. The prescription medicine must match the name on the passenger's ticket.

My wife has a lot of meds for her back pain. We have them in a 7 day pill container and we pack them with our check in luggage. The pills she may need for pain while in transit are in the prescription containers, and in a ziplock bag. She has never been asked about them.

Dave - I got the impression that the TSA instructions for prescription medication was for liquid medication in a container of more than 3 oz.

oxbumblebeaxo - I've flown since the carry on restrictions with prescription medications in the 7 day planner in my carry on and have never been questioned.

Could be. I've always kept my BP meds in their original containers. But there are examples out there where Customs has made an issue of it when they want to - look at Rush Limbaugh and the ****** he had in his luggage without a prescription last year.

my DH takes about 8 different meds per day. WE take them in the original bottles just in case there is a hastle.
Why take chances?? Put them in a carry-on and keep them with you at all times. You never know when your luggage will be lost!!

Hi,
I'm a type II diabetic and take 9 tablets a day.
except for the Metformin of which I take 5 at odd intervals, the remaining 4 a day are in 30 day blister packs made up by the pharmacy all labeled
officially and sealed. I have had no trouble with customs to date.
